Some questions we need to answer (Coaching Education) by Dom Gangemi

After so many years that I have been involved in developing young players of different ages and levels, I realize that there are some aspects that must be taken into consideration before even taking the field and starting the training session

1 what's going on in the brain of each young athlete?

2 how do they learn the thinking, to perceive movements and the emotional skills required to succeed in and enjoy the game at such at early age?

3 how knowledge of the game grow over time ?

Last but not the least question :

Why do most kids stay at an average performance while a few excel to the highest level?

Science teaches us that we are born with about 20,000 genes and that genetics only partially explains brain functions which are about 200,000 billion of connections, which consequently means that we become what the environment to which we are exposed gives us, therefore the questions that I have placed have placed in the sports environment in which the child is exposed during his training, from his first days

We must not look for answers in the drills or in some magic curriculum, creating closed and mechanized environments but creating environments where the child can discover the solutions to motor problems by himself, under the expert eye of the coach which will only have to facilitate learning

Remember guys all start with the brain 🧠
